It is my great honor to join The Korean Journal of Internal Medicine (KJIM) as editor-in-chief. Since the KJIM has been selected for coverage in Journal Citation Reports 2014, KJIM has made a noteworthy progress step by step. KJIM has grown to publish more than100 high-qualified original articles each year, along with review articles, update guidelines, and editorials. By virtue of the former KJIM editorial team’s dedication, KJIM accomplished a rising 2021 JCR impact factor of 3.165 (Journal Impact Factor Quartile 2).
As the number of submissions continues to rise, more than 500 original articles this past year, our new editorial team invites the expert editorial board members to improve the KJIM editorial services by expediting the process from submission to publication. In addition, our team will make every effort to build up a high-quality editorial system with transparent principles.
Our editorial team will continue to be the preeminent advocate for the science and practice of Internal Medicine. KJIM will provide the highest quality medical information at the point of care and at the cutting edge of science. We will continue to seek out and publish the best original articles and reviews. On the other hands, we will intensify the global network to make commitment to serve the needs of our society and our scientific community not only in Korea but also in the world.
